Two teams have dropped out...

In the Premier Division, Band Club are non-starters - all fixtures now a BYE.

In Division One, Trades Hall B are also non-starters - all fixtures now a BYE.

As there are now two BYES in Division One, why not get in touch with the other team on BYE week for a friendly?

Please cross out these obsolete teams on your team noticeboard, or click here for an updated printable replacement sheet.

See the section below for information about BYES.

GIANT League Cup Trophy

It's League Cup Season which sees our prestigious HALF-METRE HIGH winners' trophy, along with the winning team photo, on permanent display at Elite Snooker to herald the champions. Winning players will, of course, receive their own personal trophy as well as the usual larger pub trophy.

Byes:

On BYE weeks a 7-0 win will be recorded, with the wins, for merit purposes, accredited to the 7 top performers in the team.

Player Transfers:

Players can play for ONE TEAM ONLY per season. A player can only arrange a team transfer if they haven't played a game yet.

New players should only be registered here during the first half of the season, but leeway can be granted to struggling sides if needed.

About Leypool

Leyland & District Pool League has served pool players (aged 16+) from clubs & pubs across South Ribble for over 40 years.

For a modest 6 monthly fee, some free table time & match night sandwiches or hot food, managers, landlords & landladies can showcase their hospitality, attract new customers and boost trade on quiet Tuesdays (and the occasional Thursday) by joining our league, subject to availability. CLICK HERE to register a team online or CLICK HERE for a printable signing up sheet.

League matches are on Tuesday at 8pm prompt, usually after an hour or so of team practice. All teams play each other once home, once away during a season, fielding 7 of their registered players on the night. Landlords and landladies are welcome to play for their team on any match night without needing to sign on as a player. If two teams are registered at the venue, they can, if they wish, be used as floating cover for either team (but not both on the same night).

There are 2 seasons each year, Summer League and Winter League, with trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. We run two Thursday night Summer cup competitions and one in Winter. Starting time is 8pm, and the first match MUST be underway BEFORE 8:15pm.

Team Registration costs just £45 per season, with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd AND 3rd place in all divisions!
